I like how they added some articulation to his tattoos, and how they toned the colors down, but kept the basic Airbender scheme. It definitely makes it more suitable for live-action without straying too far from the cartoon. Also, they got a kid who actually does look a lot like Aang o_O.
I gotta say, I didn't know what to think about the Avatar movie(s) at first. But the recent shots of the characters they released changed my mind a bit. I'm definitely not getting a "Dragonball Evolution" vibe from it *shudders*. It seems closer to films like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, visually (which is awesome).
This gives me hope that they'll take the source material as seriously as they have the presentation.
Basically, I've gone from skeptical to cautiously optimistic . Don't let us down, Mr. Shyamalan
Yes, the movie was terrible

I come 13 years from the future to tell you all that Noah A. Ringer's Aang is a more consistent adaptation than Netflix's Aang. Even I can't believe that Netflix made a worse adaptation of Avatar than M Night. And you what, I actually liked M Night's TLA when I saw it, and I acknowledge its myriad of issues!
